This was the place where students hang out when they're not in class, it was really cool inside - designed by Rem Koolhaas.

Connie took us to see some buildings designed by Mies Van der Rohe. He made loads of buildings in Chicago. This one was a school where architects learn what to do. It was huge inside.

They both really liked the view.

Kjell and Connie came all the way from Oslo to see us, so we had some pancakes.

He had his first debate with this short man. I asked Mum and Dad where they had their first debate, they said St Johns Street.

On the way home we stopped for an ice cream in this place called Ottowa. It's where Abe Lincoln had his first public debate. A debate is a bit like an argument.

We also saw this Gorge. It was really deep it had a waterfall and me and Abe did some rock climbing.

We went for a trip to a place called 'Starved Rock'. We saw loads of cool stuff. Check out this real American Bison. There used to be loads of these roaming round in Illinois.

Dad went away to New York for a bit. I didn't really want him to go again, but he said he had to go for work and do some dad things, like eat sushi.

Me and Dad went for lunch together at the Art Institute. I had a pizza and some of his chips.
